Once again I got no Spot email from Dave, but Team Far Sight's Spot did come in. On Thursday, August 5 the guys hiked into and out of Seiad Valley, PCT mile 1662. You can drive to Seiad Valley - just take the 5 freeway towards Oregon and turn west on highway 96.
Our hikers most likely had lunch or did some resupplying in Seiad Valley, but then kept going and stopped to camp at PCT mile 1666. Three more days and they should be in Ashland Oregon. Check out PCT Half Mile map, California Section R, page 1. Yes, that's right. Dave, Zero, and Fire Marshall have moved onto the last PCT Half Mile map for California!

They have a steep hike out of Seiad Valley. Town is at 1400 feet. They've hiked to 3400 feet today. Tomorrow they'll peak at almost 6000 feet. The next day or two will be almost flat compared to what they are going through now, staying around the 6000 foot mark.
