The Spot came in today at 12:30. Not sure why the guys stopped hiking mid day. It looks like they've stopped at PCT mile 1655.
The only thing I can think of is that they decided to hitch into Seiad Valley. The PCT is a 6.5 mile road walk from Grider Creek Campground to Seiad Valley. I would have figured that they'd hike to PCT mile 1662 which would take them into Seiad Valley. If they didn't hitch, they may have just needed some rest. Seiad Valley is a small town, so Dave may not have phone reception.
