Dave had wanted to get up early to get on the trial today, however, he had to get a hitch back to the trail. Knowing no one would be around before 6 or 7, he changed his plans accordingly.
Not being able to find a hitch, he located a bus that go him much closer to the trail. From there he did get a hitch to the trail.
Dave started out before Zero and Fire Marshall this morning because he had to make the side trip to get his resupply package. He still plans on hiking 25 miles today. I've not yet gotten a Spot from him, but will keep watching for it and update today's blog with that information. If no Spot comes in, I'll locate Zero's Spot and will estimate Dave's location. We have no idea why Dave's Spot works sometimes and other times it doesn't.
