Wednesday, August 11th, Dave's Spot came in at 7:42. He is camping at PCT mile 1807. See the PCT Half Mile map Oregon Section C, page 5.

Dave had predicted he would hike 30 miles by 7:00. He started this morning at PCT mile 1772.5. He hiked 35 miles today!
Zero and Fire Marshall called today to see if I knew where Dave was. They were thinking that they had fallen miles and miles behind Dave. They were pleased to know that they had camped only one mile behind Dave last night. I told them Dave's plan to get 30 miles in today.
When the guys called me they were at Fish Lake, PCT mile 1780.5. They were waiting for the UPS delivery which was due to get in by 3:00 because they needed their package that contained shoes. Zero had worn a hole in his shoes. Their plan was that if they got their package at 3:00 they would get right back on the trail and hike 13 more miles, heading to PCT mile 1793. They want to make it into Crater Lake on Friday to meet up with Dave. If the package doesn't get in until 7:00 (last drop), then they will stay the night there and get up O-dark-30 and put the miles in tomorrow. Team Far Sight's Spot came in at 7:15 tonight. They are unfortunately at Fish Lake. Hopefully they have their package and can get started tomorrow early. If the package didn't show up, they'll ave to spend another day waiting. I told them that I'd keep watching their progress and report it to Dave until they caught up.
