Day 34 (Little Jimmy's Campground to Mile 400)

The day started with a 2 mile hike to the Islip Saddle and crossing Highway 2 again. The Tour de California was going up Highway 2 that day, but they missed the race by 3 hours.

From their Dave had to start the Station Fire detour. So Dave hiked from Islip Saddle down 5.4 miles along the Rock Creak trail and then another 5.6 miles along the Devil's Punchbowl trail. It was a tough hike, but fortunately it ended at the Devil's Punchbowl Visitors Center.

From there it was time for another road hike as Dave and Team Farsight decided to walk three more miles to Lake View road to make it to mile 400!

Jane and Carol picked them up at mile 400. After a beer and a Gatorade, it was time to get in the car and head back to Duarte.
