Dave was moving and on the trial by 7:30 a.m. He made it into Silverwood by 12:30. Along the way he ran into some south bounders who were making their way from Tehachapi (Snow Goggles). Snow goggles explained that Baden Powell still had a lot of snow, so most people were going around and walking on the road - which nobody likes. The only other excitement was almost stepping on a four foot rattlesnake he initially did not see on the trail.
Once he got to Lake Silverwood, he fell asleep under a tree waiting for Jane, Amanda and her friend Andrew to arrive. So they set up camp, Dave dozed off again and Jane went off to talk to Grandma Lisa for a while.
