Burney Falls State Park

Dave was dropped off near Burney Falls State Park today, Friday October 29th, by Wolfman around PCT mile 1426. He stopped off at the Ranger Station to meet Shirley and pick up his resupply package. Shirley had not been told that Dave was still coming, so yesterday she sent his resupply package home. The good news is that since Dave has been staying with the Heitman's, he has not had to use his Old Station resupply package. Wolfman had picked his package up for him one of the days Dave was out hiking. You can see the PCT Half Mile map California Section O page 1.

Today there was not much rain at all. Dave was ecstatic! He is eager to get this hike done. The waterfalls were spectacular. There are several websites where you can look at this area. Here is one of them.

Tomorrow is suppose to rain, so Dave is going to hang out at the Heitman's and help chop up a tree that Dennis Heitman and Wolfman took down today.

We will be watching the weather, but Dave is hoping to get on the trail Sunday, even with a little rain. He has under 80 miles to go until this Adventure is complete. That is only 4 days. He has to hike the entire PCT Half Mile map California Section O. That is all that remains. My work may not let me leave to get him until Friday, but he'll find a place to stay and wait for me.
