Wednesday, September 29th, Dave is recovering at Big Bear. We plan on heading down to Duarte tomorrow afternoon.
Dave will be studying the elevation gain/losses in the last 412 miles of the PCT. Although he is not anxious to be getting that pack on his back again, he does want to hike what he can.
The current plan being looked at is to get Dave back on the trail at Echo Lake on Monday, October 4th. It is just a plan, so things can change. As plans are finalized, we'll update everyone. You may even seen more pictures by this weekend, I just need to get them from Dave and upload them.
Dave has a 3 to 4 inch beard that is wavy, which makes him look like this picture of an old German man we have on our wall here at Big Bear. I'll add that to the pictures.
Other than that, all is well with Dave. His feet are sore but feeling better. His sciatic nerve is giving him problems, but I've got him on a Vitamin "I" routine to see if it can reduce the swelling.
