Cooper River - Wenatchee National Forest

Dave's Spot came in at 7:50, Saturday September 11th. He hiked 21 miles today, camping near Cooper River. See PCT Half Mile map Washington Section J page 3.

You can also see his Google Map from his Spot:

Although it looks it's rained most of today, Dave should have been able to set up his tent without rain. Rain should start again around 1:00 am and rain most of tomorrow. Monday the rain should let up, but he'll be heading into Skykomish to see if he's received any resupply boxes. So far, Washington has been swallowing his resupplies!!

Team Far Sight (Zero and Fire Marshall) and Readhead are all camping with Dave at Cooper River. All Spots came in at the same location. Looks like they had some switchbacks today!

Our hikers hiked uphill at first (elevation 5300 ft to 6000 ft). Then the trail took them downhill to 3200 feet, and once more up to 5600 feet. Tomorrow will start out with downhill going from 5600 feet to 3000 feet, then back up to 5600 feet and ending around 4000 feet. All that will be done in the rain. I'm hoping the trail is not too slippery, especially for Zero.
